Bio

Born and raised in one of North East Victoria's smallest towns meant that Megan grew up the old fashioned way. With one older brother they found ways to entertain themselves for hours by climbing trees, riding horses and swimming in the river just to name a few. This could not have lead to any better inspiration for Megan and her song writing.
School ended early for this country girl for all she wanted to do was work on the land and create music. So at the tender age of 15 Megan learnt how tough and rewarding it was to be a farmer.

Megan began performing at the age of 15 and she has been song writing since she was 12. Opportunity has lead Megan to work with cover bands and has since then developed a band of her own known as the ‘Megan Kelly Gang.’ The Gang have branched out into the big world of Australian Country Music, playing throughout many festivals and venues across the land. The band were honoured to be placed runners up at Tamworth's Country Music Festival battle of the bands, sponsored by Coca-Cola 2011.

What once seemed like a far fetched dream for a young woman has now become reality. Since graduating from the CMAA Junior and Senior Country Music Academy at Tamworth in 2008 and 2011 has given Megan the opportunity to work with some of the best musicians and business leaders in the industry. Travis Sinclair, Peter Denhey, The Davidson Brothers, Silver String Outlaws and Brian Cadd are only very few of the best that Megan has worked alongside with.

Not often do you hear of a 20 year young girl driving 6000km on their own, sleeping under the stars every night for a month in her swag and singing in some far away towns through central QLD, but this is exactly what Megan recently achieved. A heart full of passion and a head full of drive there is no two ways about this girl, she is a truckies daughter with knowledge one can only get from giving it a go.
Megan is currently directing her career towards solo and co-written material that brings relatable songs to the everyday person, with foot tapping beats and catchy lyrics. She hopes to follow up her E.P ‘Time to Fly’ with an album.

Many who meet Megan are blown away from her efforts at such a young age. She is one of the most humble down to earth country girl's around, a rarity some have said. Megan can very naturally relate to her audience and has a very strongly driven performance she knows exactly who she is and how to give her crowd exciting and honest entertainment. So there you have 20 year old Megan Kelly one of Australia's most promising singer/song writers.
